April Update From The Chamber
It’s hard to believe that 2022 is already in full swing! We’re hard at work at the Chamber in many areas, including the production of fantastic events like our Annual Gala & Awards Ceremony, Women in Business, Wake Up Paso!, our annual HR Workshop, and Chamber Mixers, all shaped to promote and support our business community. Stay tuned to hear about new events coming in the latter part of the year. We enjoy seeing all of the business leaders who love networking, learning, and promoting each other through our events.
A special thank you to everyone who has donated to our Annual Gala & Awards Ceremony; this evening wouldn’t be possible without you! If you haven’t purchased your tickets to this celebration of our extraordinary community, make sure to buy yours before ticket sales close this Friday, April 22nd.
In addition to our exciting lineup of events, we’re working on new partnerships and initiatives for our community! Through our partnership with the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, we continue to work toward finalizing the merger of our chambers. Stay tuned for your chance to vote on your opportunity to strengthen our North County business community soon!
Another important partnership we have is with the SLO County Workforce Development Board. This has allowed us to welcome two dedicated Business Support Specialists focused 100% on workforce development and grant opportunities throughout our county. Already we’re off to a great start! The team has been diligently working to successfully implement small business grants made available through the county.
Coincidentally this work pairs nicely with our partnership with the City of Paso Robles, enabling us to work even further on specific items related to workforce development, such as Job Fairs and Job Boards. Regarding new initiatives, our partnership with the City has also fostered the launch of programs like the Paso Robles Unhoused Population Futures Study to help support our community (more below).
We continue to advocate for our business community at the local, state, and federal level. Find more information on specific items posted here at the button below. Should you have a topic in the area of advocacy that you feel we need to keep on our radar or take immediate action on, we’re here to serve and encourage you to reach out and let us do the work while you take care of business!
Keep an eye out for our emails; we’ll keep you in the loop there as well.
Here’s to an amazing 2022!
– Gina Fitzpatrick, President & CEO of the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce
